I have always thought of him as ENTJ too.
I never thought of him as ENTj until it was suggested by someone else. Now I can see him as ENTj. Actually I'm not sure what else he could be?
Uhm, how is that person not a Fe ego type? I can't even remotely see ENTj, I mean, if that's he's an ENTj then I could easily pass as an ENTj.

His style reminds me of this Finnish talk show host, Arto Nyberg, whom I earlied typed as ESTJ.
I do not think Conan is a feeling type, for one thing his humor appears always slightly forced, as if he feels compelled to explain every joke and reference.

He may be ENTJ, but he is not nearly as annoying as Taritino. Maybe that's because acts in a more intelligent fasion.

i would agree with sneg that conan is Fe.
conan's comic routines are consistently based on random, FeSi interjections which are often very expressive. these can be seen in almost any of his comic routines in the form of high-pitched nonsensical ramblings. his comedy often reflects Si playfulness and mostly focuses on light, worldly, and often self-deprecatve humor.
i would agree with snegledmaca that alpha SF is the most likely. there is absolutely no way he's any sort of Se or Ni type.
Perhaps that is why I don't find him as annoying as Tarintino...

He values Fi. Gets really upset when people try to pry into his personal life and his character totally changes when this happens. When he tells a very racy joke he looks embarrassed and sometimes apologizes to anyone who might be offended.
He has weak Si. He always appears on edge as if he can't relax, and always seems to be fidgeting. When telling jokes he compulsively twitches his arm as if he has no other conduit for his mental energy.

Watch and judge for yourself (you might not want to watch the whole thing, though, because it's almost an hour long w/commercials). Make sure you see the parts in which he and Charlie are actually talking.

His feeling comes across as, which is, in my opinion, a warm, muted sociability and kindness about a person that complements their corresponding extroverted function.

none of this has anything to do remotely with Te.Te dominance. Conan visited Finland last winter and made a lot of less official material here where he was somewhat different person than he is in the official show. He walked around doing sort of adhoc comic which ended up being quite good. Sadly not much of that material is available to me but here is some. I think he is Ne-ish but I can't tell if he's ENTp or ENFp. I agree with Discojoe that he changes character when people pry into his private life but I can't tell if it's that he values Fi or if he is getting a PoLR hit. It seems to make some kind of change in him though.
I haven't watched him since my daughter was a baby so this is based on my impressions of him a while back.

The only possible types I can see for him currently are ENTj (emphasis on the Fe Role) and ESFj. An ENTp would be way less careful about hurting people's feelings (Fi).

It seems to me he favors more simplistic, inclusive humor, the kind of stuff that is obvious on the face of it (Democracy). I somehow think ENFj humor would be a little bit more...pretentious, or provocative maybe.
I can't think of any ENFj comedians, so I hope that's not a totally wrong characterization.

i buy that scenario, but i also think that LIEs are not shy about the use of racial humor. not all LIEs necessarily fit into this category, but as a general rule i perceive most of the absurdist racial stereotyping that goes on to be a product of gamma types.
