Hello ! ESI joining the forum

Hello !

I'm Woodland Spirit, decided to join this forum, I read it sometimes for a year or more now and really enjoy it here. My knowledge on socionics isn't very vast, I started out in the MBTI community taking the test and switched to socionics later, it just makes more sense. I researched my type for quite some time now, I am not sure of it and definitely someone could question it, but right now I type as ESI. It was mostly process of elimination looking at myself and my behavior.

Something more about myself, I'm a woman my hobbies and interests are of course bit of psychology and socionics lol, but also nature and animals, I like some sciences like biology, zoology and paleontology. I am a bit artsy and draw things from my imagination sometimes, I like sculpting from clay too. I read books, especially fantasty. I like some roleplaying and fantasty video games. My favourite activities and sports are probably riding a bike, swimming and aimlessly wandering in the forest like a spirit.

I might have some random periods of activity and inactivity here because life is hard and busy, also I prefer to read and not write and my language isn't english so there might be some mistakes.

hello ESI, and thank you for taking the time to look into typology and figure out your type; i expect it might not have been the most fun to wade through lots of the technical descriptions etc. your profile pic and softly earnest way of writing reminds me of an ESI i've known personally. idk if you've spent much time with ILE, but i'd like to apologize to you on behalf of any others who might've tried to steamroll your feelings and preferences with their attempts at being "logical" or "objective" creatures. i'd say everyone has their biases.

It was kind of fun actually (kind of), I like stuff related to psychology, I feel typology gives me an advantage, I'm a bit less confused now about why people do stuff I don't understand. I just wish it was a bit simpler to type yourself because yeah constantly reading, doubting and picking which type I'm definitely was tiring and there's lots of conflicting information on functions. But once I got throught basic things it was a bit better. I'm not skilled enough to type other people so I am not sure if I ever talked to ILE, but yeah lots of people I noticed live without any moral values...

PS. Don't look much into the avatar it's default one from the forum, I just thought it looked nice.

since you seem to be closing in on your type, i want to give some advice: please do not look into too many sources ! there is a lot of information about socionics, and when you read too much you can lose your way (this is what happened to me). the many socionists out there have many disagreements on what different concepts mean. (it is possibly much worse here than MBTI in this regard)

that said, there isnt really a "better" or "worse" socionics, they each have merits. so i say pick your favourite author or site and stick with them.

Thanks for the advice, right now I am using wikiscon, sociotype.xyz, this forum and nothing else. I found myself exactly in simmilar situation, just getting lost in abundance of information, that sometimes was even conflicting. I am pretty sure I am ESI based on lots of comprasions and reading, but I still do get these doubts and think there's a chance I could be just some kind of weird EII.
