    Default Walls

I saw someone on the socionics reddit say that EIIs have some of the toughest psychological walls to break, even more so than ESIs, their fellow Fi-bases. Is this how other types perceive EIIs as well? What are these walls and what makes them seem hard to break? How do EIIs act to give off this impression?

I find them easy to talk to and are generally curious about other people. However I don't try to break psychological walls during conversations. Probably ethical types would have more say about this.

@loopyclouds, would you be so kind to define "Psychological walls" ?

I’m not exactly sure what the redditor who used the term meant by it, but I’m guessing its something about EIIs being closed off, guarded, secretive or immobile. I was surprised that they said EII’s walls were tougher to break than ESIs, as ESIs to me are very difficult to read on the surface.

But why would one try to break the walls of someone programmed to be good at creating closeness/maintaining distance as they/person they are with desires?

if they have a wall up there’s a reason why

ok, I can see situations in which it kind of makes sense, maybe something the EII might not be accounting for

also keep in mind the Ni demonstrative even if they don’t entirely verbalize it or are still inclined towards giving things a chance, can tip them off to potential problems. Bad gut feeling if you will

Doesn’t mean it’s always accurate but it can influence the behavior

    …self preservation

    Having walls isn’t type related

Well they're probably the least open/talkative of all NFs but " walls " is still not the best word to describe them
