What if you really are an Alpha, but you want out? Most of the stereotypes around our quadra are dumb. It's like Alpha is the quadra that no one ever takes seriously or something.

but yeah, I agree that a bunch of Alpha stereotypes are dumb. annoying bimbos are often typed alpha SF and such, that's definitely stupid.
I believe this is the first "serious" post I've ever seen from you glam. Usually your posts consist exclusively of the icon.

Alphas do seem to do that a lot, and I usually enjoy it unless I'm trying to make a point or get one to take me seriously when asking her out

I usually type bimbos as gamma/beta...

I believe you mistakenly typed Fe when you meant Fi. Based on our relationship I'd like you to correct that.

If you want out, you could have Pinocchio write you an LSI prescription. It's about as good as a doctor's note for getting out of gym class. I do understand your frustration, but outside of Socionics such stereotypes regarding Alpha are not prescribed to you.

Namely, because at times it is too mercurial. I do not know if I should take the Fe seriously if it is going to change at the drop of a hat.

Talking seriously about things can be great, but personally - I don't feel like there's much point talking about serious issues that can't be resolved. I'd feel selfish or something for depressing people for no real reason. That said, that rainbow cake is truly hideous. :-p I don't like when the "silliness" gets to the point where it's not like just a spontaneous thing - more like not wanting to deal with reality. I probably appear as silly as a wheel on here sometimes, but I don't think anyone would describe me as frivolous irl. :0

Likewise. Being drowned in non-stop silliness can actually hamper our abilities to exercise our Ti + Ne ego functions. LIIs are boring stiffs, and we like it that way!

I agree. I enjoy silliness and light-hearted fluff conversations up to a point, but I need to get down to some serious analytical conversations from time to time, or I feel like I'm drowning in a sea of cotton candy. I find a good serious in-depth conversation about issues that are important to me to be more refreshing and energizing than a whole week of trivial silliness, enjoyable as the latter might be.

Fe isn't just light hearted happiness -- deep, serious feelings of anguish, love, passion, etc., are also Fe. I think Alphas just tend to be more private with those things, expressing them in a more select group of trusted friends, or one-on-one, while maintaining a more light-hearted happy atmosphere in group social settings.

Mind you, even deep discussions about serious issues tend to be laced with the occasional joke here and there.

That actually sounds pretty good, but cotton candy gets fairly sticky when wet. So eating your way out of cotton candy could get disgusting quite quickly.

Most definitely. But that is when serious types particularly hate Alpha, some serious types never appreciate that "occasional joke here and there." The jokes must be done on their terms.
