Like in Evangelion the humans are the offspring of Lilith and the angels are the offspring of Adam. It's very much trying to frame the humans as actually the bad guys and get you to sympathize with the eldritch monstrosities. It explicitly states the angels are trying to understand the humans and they're just fighting over which of the eventual descendants of God are supposed to colonize the planet, Adam's or Lilith's. Lilith in mythology is a literal demon who was supposed to be Adam's first wife and spawned all the demons with Adam before there was Eve. There is ambiguously some hope for the humans but they aren't automatically the good guys like in most stories with monsters. Out of all the things DJArendee did wrong, self-identifying as an angel (really obviously based on Evangelion though the video where he had his armor got scrubbed) when he went crazy is not the worst. It's not really completely accurate to Abrahamic religion lore like they're importing a factual version of Christianity/Islam/Judaism but you oddly need to understand the lore still to get it. Reminds me of the saying know the rules to break the rules. But you don't get it and you just expose yourself to all sorts of dangers on a site with the lovely combination of zero cybersecurity, sketchy meetups, and alleged paranormal occurrences and obvious occult practice everywhere. DJArendee I'm sure got off easier than almost every 16ter has/is/will. Can a house be better than its master, after all?
